Amadeus Prague Ensemble of Program
Soprano Lucie Vagenknechtová
Soprano Lucie Vagenknechtová is a graduate of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She is a laureate of numerous competitions, including the 2nd prize winner of the Antonín Dvořák International Singing Competition. She has collaborated with major Czech orchestras and performed at festivals such as Smetana Litomyšl, Prague Music Festival and Pardubice Music Spring. On opera stages she has performed roles such as Papagena, Countess, Gretel and Zerlina (National Theatre Prague). In October 2019, she made her debut with the London Symphony Orchestra under Kazushi Ono at the Barbican Centre in London in Leoš Janáček’s Glagolitic Mass, broadcast by Mezzo Live. She is now mainly a concert artist and tours regularly in France.
Soprano Nikola Uramová
Nikola Uramová is one of the most outstanding talents of the emerging young generation. In 2021 she graduated from the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Prague. In 2018 she studied at the Danish National Academy of Music, in 2019-2020 at the Conservatorio di musica Cesare Pollini in Italy and in 2020-2021 at the Hochschule für Music Carl Maria von Weber in Germany and is also a student of the famous Italian tenor and tutor Antonio Carangelo.
This year she completed her first solo tour in Brazil in cooperation with the Czech Consulate in Brazil and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. She performed a number of roles such as Suor Angelica (Suor Angelica, G. Puccini), Mimì (La Bohème, G. Puccini), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte, W. A. Mozart), Mařenka (The Bartered Bride, B. Smetana), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni, W. A. Mozart), etc. She has also sung with Simon Keenlyside and Štefan Kocán, soloists of the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Štefan Margita and Václav Hudeček. She also sang for Plácido Domingo himself.
Nikola Uramová is a laureate of many singing competitions. Recent awards include the Special Prize at the Youth of Music competition (Bucharest), second prize at the Nouvelles Étouiles (Paris), the Czech Song Prize at the prestigious Emma Destinová singing competition in London and first prize at the international Caneres competition in Vienna.
Soprano Marie Šimůnková
Marie Šimůnková studied classical singing at the Prague Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under the direction of Yvona Škvárová. She spent part of her master’s studies at the Conservatorio di Giuseppe Verdi in Milan. During her studies, she performed a number of opera and operetta roles, such as Gretel (B. Smetana: The Bartered Bride), Helena (O. Nedbal: Polish Blood), Stazi (E. Kálmán: The Princess of Chardas), Lucy (G. Menotti: The Telephone), Eleonora (B. Martinů: Tears of the Knife), Récija (Ch. W. Gluck: An Unexpected Meeting) and others. She has performed solo roles at the National Theatre: Barbarina (W.A. Mozart: The Marriage of Figaro), Karolka, Jano (L. Janáček: Her Pastor), The First Genius (W.A. Mozart: The Magic Flute), Mrs. Jaffet (B. Britten: Noah’s Flood), Governess (B. Britten: The Tightening of the Screws) and performed in A. Březina’s chamber operas Toufar and Tomorrow Will Be… She is currently also a guest at the South Bohemian Theatre in České Budějovice in the roles of Kate Pinkerton (G. Puccini: Madama Butterfly), Papagena (W.A. Mozart: The Magic Flute) and at the J. K. Tyl’s Theatre in the role of Barca (B. Smetana: Hubička). She regularly participates in masterclasses with Czech and foreign teachers and performs throughout the Czech Republic.
Baritone Daniel Klánský
Daniel Klánský is a Czech baritone who regularly performs at major opera houses in the Czech Republic. Since 2015, he has been a frequent guest at the National Theatre in Prague and has appeared in productions in Plzeň, Ostrava, Liberec, and Olomouc. He has performed in Italy, Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, and beyond. He collaborates with leading orchestras and appears regularly at renowned music festivals. He often performs in concert with his father, pianist Ivan Klánský.
Baritone Jakub Tolaš
He first studied singing under the guidance father – soloist of the Ostrava Opera and later with Zdeňka Diváková. During his basic military service in the AUS VN Prague, he got his first solo engagement at the State Theatre in Ústí nad Labem. There he also began studied under the guidance Prof. Jitka Švábová.
He was a soloist of the Janáček Opera at the National Theatre in Brno from 2002 to 2011. He performed important roles like Figaro a Fiorello (The Barber of Seville), Papageno (The Magic Flute), Morales and Dancairo (Carmen), Dandini (Cinderella), The Hunter (Rusalka), etc.
He has been performing at the National Theatre in Prague as Parrot in Marko Ivanović’s The Magic Man and as Figaro in The Barber of Seville since the 2011/2012 season.
Baritone Martin Bělohlávek
Martin Bělohlávek comes from Prague, where he has been involved in the Children’s Opera Prague since childhood. He studied classical singing at the Prague Conservatory in the class of Valentin Prolat and is currently continuing his studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under the guidance of Professor Ivan Kusnjer. He has participated in masterclasses led by M° Paolo de Napoli, Vladimír Chmelo, Eva Randová, and Norbert Baxa.
He is a laureate of several national singing competitions, including the International Singing Competition Olomouc, the Prague Singer, and the Bohuslav Martinů Song Competition. During his studies, he performed several opera roles, such as Painter (Nečekané setkání), Mícha and Krušina (The Bartered Bride), Don Giovanni (Don Giovanni), Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro), Satan (Slzy nože), and more.
He regularly performs in the educational series of the National Theatre. He is actively engaged in concert activities and collaborates with the National Theatre in Prague, the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec, and the South Bohemian Theatre in České Budějovice. He also works with the Prague Philharmonic Choir and the ensemble Run Operun. His concert activities take him both domestically and abroad.
Amadeus Prague Ensemble
is formed by 5 instrumentalists from the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Salzburg Chamber Soloists, National Theater Prague etc., who perform their art dressed in period costumes.
The free part classical concert program is performed between each course of the culinary dinner. For your delight, there will be arias and duets from the operas “The Marriage of Figaro”, “Don Giovanni” (this Opera had world premiere in 1787 in Prague conducted with great success by Amadeus Mozart himself), “The Magic Flute” and sentences from serenade “A Little Night Music” and “Salzburg Divertimento”.
